Si Sulung Atau Si Bungsu? (The Biggest Or The Youngest?)

** Firman Tuhan: Lukas 15:28 **

"Anak sulung itu marah dan ia tidak mau masuk."

Spontan kita akan menjawab: si bungsu. Ia meminta warisan kala sang ayah masih hidup, meninggalkan rumah, menghamburkan harta dalam pesta pora, memiskinkan diri, dan menggerogoti keluhuran martabatnya sebagai manusia. Lalu, saat tersadar akan kondisinya, ia terseok pulang, dan sang ayah menyambut dan memeluknya. Ya, si bungsulah si anak terhilang.
Benarkah? Bisa jadi. Namun, jika kita menilik lagi kisahnya dengan baik, kita akan menemukan alternatif lain. Bukankah si bungsu yang kurang ajar ini akhirnya kembali ke dalam pelukan Bapa yang penuh kasih dan penerimaan? Sebaliknya, bukankah si sulung masih terus bergumul dengan kemarahannya hingga cerita berakhir? Bukankah ia tak mampu mengasihi adiknya seperti diteladankan sang ayah? Bukankah ia, karena merasa diperlakukan tidak adil, kehilangan kepekaan bahwa segala milik ayahnya adalah miliknya pula? Tidakkah si sulung sejatinya juga "hilang"?

Jadi, siapa yang sebenarnya hilang dari kasih Tuhan? Jawabannya tergantung dari sikap batin dan sikap hidup orang terhadap kasih Tuhan yang lestari bak mentari. Bila orang mau membuka mata hati dan mengarahkan hidup kepada kasih Tuhan, sejauh apapun ia tersesat, ia dapat kembali pulang. Bila hati mati dan hidupnya beku dan kaku, sedekat apapun seseorang dengan Tuhan, bisa jadi ia tak tahu jalan menuju Tuhan, dan tersesat di tengah "terang" hari. Siapakah kita? Si bungsu atau si sulung? Siapapun kita, marilah pulang. Pulang ke dalam kasih Tuhan. Pulang ke lubuk hati-Nya.

KELEMBUTAN HATI BAPA MENGUNDANG KITA UNTUK PULANG.

MAUKAH KITA MENGHAMBUR KE DALAM HANGAT PELUKAN-NYA?
