** Firman Tuhan : Amsal 27:17 **
"Besi menajamkan besi, orang menajamkan sesamanya."
Saat musim dingin tiba, sekelompok hewan mulai pergi dan mencari tempat yang hangat. Jika hewan-hewan itu memutuskan untuk tetap tinggal di tempatnya selama musim dingin, maka mereka akan mati jika tidak bisa melindungi diri selama musim dingin.
Demikian juga dengan sekelompok landak. Saat musim dingin tiba, landak-landak itu mulai mengembangkan duri-durinya. Mereka merasa sangat kedinginan sampai akhirnya memutuskan untuk saling berdekatan. Ketika berdekatan, rasa hangat itu mulai dapat dirasakan namun duri-duri yang mereka miliki saling melukai satu sama lain.
Karena tidak ingin terluka dan saling melukai, landak-landak itu saling menjauh. Namun, hawa dingin mengancam kehidupannya. Mereka harus memilih antara terluka atau mati. Mereka berusaha untuk bisa saling menerima luka-luka itu dan menciptakan kehangatan selama sampai musim semi tiba.
Sebagai manusia, tentu kita tidak ingin terluka. Kita ingin hidup tanpa masalah. Namun perlu kita sadari bahwa kita tidak bisa hidup seorang diri. Kita masih membutuhkan orang lain untuk kelangsungan hidup kita. Saat berinteraksi dengan orang lain atau pada saat kita menjalin hubungan dengan orang lain, tentulah ada gesekan-gesekan yang membuat kita terluka. Dari gesekan itulah kita bisa belajar bagaimana cara mengasihi dan mengampuni.
Untuk bisa mempertahankan sebuah kebersamaan, kitapun juga harus bisa bertahan dalam menghadapi luka-luka itu karena kasih dapat mengubah segala sesuatu.

To be able to maintain a unity, we too must also be able to survive in the face of those cuts because love can change everything.
