** Firman Tuhan: 1 Yohanes 2:15, 17 **

An ambassador was sent to a country very different from their home country. For months he had to adapt to the language and culture there. However, imagine if he becomes so enamored with the values and traditions of the country. He came to regard the country as their own country. Is he still able to perform his duties as ambassador as it should? It could be that he is no longer objective and policies no longer in favor of the home country.
The Apostle John warned against the same could happen to the believers. Because living in the world, our hearts can be so attached to various things in it (1 John 2:15). Here the apostle John was not being accused of a certain lifestyle, a certain look, or the possession of a certain amount. He was talking about the current condition of the hearts of God's people respond to what's around it. Heart condition which assumes that what the world has to offer is much better than what God has to offer. False assumption! World are just a few of the creatures of God, will not survive. What the Creator provided for the future of his children obviously much better and secure. This world is not our home.
There is no harm in enjoying the good things that God has provided for us to live in the world. However, whether it's music, movies, technology, clothing, position, or else, when it began to be a demand and our happiness depends on gratification, beware! We're loving the world more than God, and obviously will lose the best things from him.
WE DO NOT sent to CENTRAL WORLD FOR WORLD RESEMBLE,
BUT GOD TO SHOW THAT MORE VALUABLE THEREOF.
TETAPI UNTUK MENUNJUKKAN BAHWA TUHAN LEBIH BERHARGA DARINYA.
