** Firman Tuhan: Amsal 12:24 **
Tangan orang rajin memegang kekuasaan, tetapi kemalasan mengakibatkan kerja paksa."
Alkitab berulang kali memberi nasihat tentang kemalasan. Salah satunya yang kita baca hari ini. Kemalasan mengakibatkan kerja paksa.

One of my illness in college is a procrastinator. Although not intending to lazy, I often run off through the day, ignoring my schedule is already made. When the task should be collected or exams arrived, I had to stay up. Wonder also if you see that all of it can actually be completed in a relatively short time when I was really focused. If I were a little more diligent, I would not have to stay up and that I could do more optimal.
The Bible repeatedly advising on laziness. One of which we read today. Laziness lead to forced labor. Laziness can make a person do not enjoy, let alone reap the benefits of what he was doing. Maybe eventually he was dictated to others who are more diligent. Maybe eventually he was often fail (Proverbs 12:27). Here the writer of Proverbs speaks of something realistic to achieve, but not accomplished because too little effort exerted.
Laziness or unwillingness to do something in time can come from many things. Maybe something is not to our liking. Maybe the way we organize time needs to be addressed. Find and bereskanlah root of the problem. Everyone has a tendency to be lazy. We prefer to schedule as they pleased in the interests of others. Laziness can seize the joy and blessing of working and living together. Let's train ourselves to diligent and dedicate our best efforts to honor the Lord.
