Cinta Akan Uang (Love Money)

** Firman Tuhan: 1 Timotius 6:10 **
"Karena akar segala kejahatan ialah cinta uang."

       Di bangku sekolah dulu, kita belajar mengenai jenis-jenis kebutuhan manusia. Di tingkat yang paling dasar, dikenal kebutuhan yang disebut kebutuhan primer yang berisi makanan, pakaian dan rumah. Secara teori, asalkan ketiga hal tersebut terpenuhi, sudah cukup untuk seseorang bisa bertahan hidup. Tapi saya rasa sebagian besar dari kita tidak akan puas kalau hanya memiliki ketiga hal tersebut. Bukan karena tidak setuju bahwa sebetulnya tiga hal itu cukup untuk bertahan hidup, tapi karena kita ingin memiliki hal-hal yang lain juga.

       Sampai di tahap tertentu, kemauan dan kemampuan ini baik. Sebab tentu memenuhi kebutuhan sekunder seperti kesehatan dan pendidikan memang diperlukan untuk memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik. Tapi ketika kemudian hal-hal yang tergolong kebutuhan tersier seperti internet, alat elektronik terbaru, baju mahal, dsb. juga masuk dalam daftar kebutuhan dasar hidup kita dan kita merasa tanpa itu hidup kita tidak cukup, kita perlu berhatihati. Sebab jangan-jangan kita sudah bukan lagi sekedar berusaha meningkatkan kualitas hidup, tapi sudah jatuh dalam penyakit cinta uang.

       Paulus menuliskan bahwa penyakit ini harus diwaspadai sebab cinta uang adalah akar dari segala kejahatan. Ketika seseorang sudah cinta uang, ia akan terjerumus untuk mengejar harta tanpa lagi mempedulikan soal etika dan kebenaran. Selain itu, cinta uang mendatangkan kesusahan bagi diri kita sendiri. Sebab ketika tujuan hidup sudah berpindah dari menyenangkan Tuhan kepada mengumpulkan harta, kita tidak akan pernah merasa puas.

MENGEJAR KUALITAS HIDUP MEMANG PERLU, TAPI HATI-HATILAH

DENGAN PENYAKIT CINTA UANG YANG MENGINTAI.

       In the first school , we learn about the types of human needs . At the most basic level , recognized the needs of the so-called primary needs of food , clothing and homes . In theory , as long as those three things are met , is enough for a person to survive . But I think most of us would not be satisfied if you only have three. Not because it does not agree that it's actually three things enough to survive , but because we want to have other things as well .

       At this particular stage , the willingness and ability of the good . Because of course secondary needs such as health and education is necessary to have a good quality of life . But when then things are classified as tertiary needs of Internet , the latest electronic equipment , expensive clothes , etc. . also included in the list of basic needs of our lives and without it we feel our lives are not enough , we need to be cautious . Because lest we are no longer just trying to improve the quality of life , but had fallen in love disease of money .

       Paul wrote that this disease should watch out because the love of money is the root of all evil . When someone is the love of money , he will fall to pursue wealth without longer care about ethics and truth . In addition , the love of money brings trouble for ourselves. Because when life's purpose had shifted from pleasing God to gather treasure , we 'll never feel satisfied .

PURSUIT QUALITY OF LIFE IS NECESSARY,
BUT BE CAREFULLOVE MONEY WITH DISEASE LURKING .
