** Firman Tuhan: Kejadian 7:13**
"Pada hari itu juga masuklah Nuh serta Sem, Ham dan Yafet, anak-anak Nuh, dan isteri Nuh, dan ketiga isteri anak-anaknya bersama-sama dengan dia, ke dalam bahtera itu."
Paus Yohanes XXIII pernah berkata, "Seorang ayah bisa dengan mudah memiliki anak. Jauh lebih sulit bagi seorang anak untuk bisa memiliki ayah yang sejati." Sebuah pernyataan yang menggelitik, tetapi diam-diam kita benarkan. Memang, sekadar menjadi ayah sangat berbeda dengan menjadi ayah sejati. Ayah sejati mengesampingkan kepentingan dirinya sendiri sejak ia memiliki anak. Ayah sejati mendampingi dengan kasih saat sang anak tertatih belajar menjalani hidup. Ayah sejati tak hanya mempersiapkan warisan duniawi, tetapi menurunkan iman yang membawa pada hidup kekal.
Sebagai ayah, Nuh menunjukkan tanggung jawabnya sebagai pemimpin yang mengarahkan hidup seluruh keluarganya. Walau dunia tempat tinggal mereka sudah begitu kacau karena kejahatan dan ketidaktaatan, Nuh tetap bertahan hidup benar dan tidak bercela (Kej 6:9). Tentu itu bukan hal mudah baginya. Namun ia sanggup melakukannya, karena ia bergaul karib dengan Tuhan. Tak heran ia mendapat kasih karunia istimewa dari Tuhan. Dan, tak berhenti di situ saja. Ia menurunkan kepercayaannya itu kepada seluruh keluarganya. Buktinya, di tengah masyarakat yang bersikeras tak mau mendengar peringatan Nuh, istri, anak, dan menantunya masih mau percaya dan mengikutinya. Dan, ketika mereka mengikuti pimpinan Nuh, mereka pun selamat dari kebinasaan (Kej 7:23).
Para ayah, di tangan Anda ada mandat Tuhan untuk memimpin keluarga Anda pada kehidupan sejati dalam Kristus. Hiduplah karib dengan Tuhan, maka seluruh keluarga Anda akan mengikuti dengan rela, percaya, dan sukacita.
KETIKA AYAH MENELADANKAN KETAATAN KEPADA TUHAN,
MAKA KELUARGA AKAN MEMBERI RESPON YANG SEPADAN

"On that very day Noah and Shem go, Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the third with his sons' wives with him, into the ark."
Pope John XXIII once said, "A father could easily have children. Much more difficult for a child to be able to have a real father." An intriguing statement, but secretly we justified. Indeed, just to be a father is very different from being a true father. True father put aside self-interest since he has children. Accompanied by true love's father when the child limping through life learning. True father not only prepare a mundane, but lose the faith that leads to eternal life.
As a father, Noah showed his responsibilities as a leader who directs the whole family's life. Although the world where they lived was so messed up because of the wickedness and disobedience, Noah survives correct and blameless (Gen. 6:9). Of course it was not easy for him. But he was able to do it, because he's getting intimate with God. No wonder he got the special grace of God. And, do not stop there. He lowered his belief that the whole family. The proof, in a society that insists not want to hear the warnings of Noah, his wife, son, and daughter still wants to believe and follow. And, when they follow the lead of Noah, they were saved from destruction (Gen. 7:23).
The father, in your hand there is the mandate of God to lead your family on a true life in Christ. Live intimate with God, then the whole family will follow willingly, believing, and joy.
